Two things separate it from a standard panel. It scores each marker against a personalised optimal zone instead of the lab's reference range. It also reads your wearable: Apple Health, Oura Ring, Fitbit and Garmin all feed into the daily ProTips store.insidetracker.com.
Outside the US and Canada, you do not have to buy a test at all. The $149 membership lets you upload up to 30 sets of results from your own doctor or 23andMe. US and Canadian customers get that same upload capability through any bundle.

What do users consistently praise?
The analysis gets the loudest praise, and it comes from people who tried the rivals.
One App Store reviewer who says they used Function Health and Superpower as well calls InsideTracker "easily the best for longevity/optimization". Another, an endurance athlete whose doctor had said everything looked fine, writes: "Once I got my first set of test results back, I found out I was deficient in a lot of areas and too high and others." What are the common complaints about InsideTracker?
The app draws the loudest complaints.
A three-year customer writes: "More often than not, I encounter a situation where the login screen cycles continuously requiring me to close the app and try again." Three other reviews describe the same fault, plus goals that untick an hour later. None are dated, so some bugs may already be fixed apps.apple.com.
Next comes the web and app split. A Google Play reviewer calls it "not an app so much as a dashboard" and says any real task "redirects you to the mobile website instead". They updated that review in September 2025 to say nothing had changed play.google.com.
On value the reviews disagree. One App Store reviewer got nothing new: "But so far I have no more information than a yearly physical from my doc." apps.apple.com Nucleus, which sells a competing DNA test, builds its verdict on that argument, so it is not independent backing mynucleus.com.
The DNA kit draws the sharpest criticism. Gene Food, again selling a competing genetic product, found in its April 2025 review that the "SNPs that form the risk scores for the various genetic health traits are not disclosed" mygenefood.com.

Who is InsideTracker for, and who should skip it?
InsideTracker fits athletes and repeat testers. If you wear a Garmin, an Oura Ring or a Fitbit and expect to test two or three times a year, the membership earns its keep on repeat pricing.
It also suits anyone sitting on recent blood work. Upload it and skip another draw.
Skip it if you want one clean test and no subscription, or if a reliable phone app matters to you. Add $119 in New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Arizona and Canada, where a phlebotomist has to come to you.

Two of those testers sell competing products, so we name the conflict when quoting them. The third is a runner's account from 2016, too old to use.
We found thirteen Reddit threads about InsideTracker and did not read them, so no Reddit opinion appears above. Trustpilot blocked us too. The price-versus-value argument mostly happens on Reddit, so treat this as the app-store and vendor picture for now.
